Fish In Space® FAQ

What kind of fish should I place in my aquarium?

The Fish in Space Aquarium can comfortably house one beta or one goldfish.

How often and how much should I feed my fish?

The amount of food you place in your Fish in Space aquarium will depend on the type of fish you have. When you purchase your fish, be sure to ask the pet store salesperson what kind of food is best for your fish and how much you should feed it.

What happens if I feed my fish too much food?

Overfeeding causes excess waste in your aquarium and will upset the balance in your water. This could be harmful to your fish.

How often should I change the water in my aquarium?

A partial water change should be done once a month.

How often should I clean the inside of my aquarium?

Using a small, clean cellulose sponge, clean the walls of the tank every two weeks (or as needed).

Can I use any old sponge to clean my aquarium?

No. The wrong type of sponge will scratch the viewing surface. Even a new sponge can have chemicals in it that may be harmful to the fish. Be sure to rinse out the sponge before and after each use. Never use a sponge that has been used with soap.
